Liz Taylor-McMullen
Special guest
As the youngest of five, Liz Taylor-McMullen was required to learn two instruments: the piano and one she could pick. She selected trumpet, but found in seventh grade that she most likely wouldn't be as successful at the instrument as her older brother. A teacher recommended the euphonium instead, and she found it to be a perfect fit. After working as a band director, then a choir director after earning her master's in music performance, Liz took a 9-5 at the University of Central Arkansas instead and turned her love of music into a community project that's brought her a lot of happiness as she plays in three different groups, including the Lieder Vox Duo. She also teaches music part-time. She hopes that there's a renaissance after the pandemic.
